We all like to be as comfortable as possible when we are at home, and one of the biggest contributors to this is temperature. Wouldn’t it be great if there was some energy efficient way in which we could achieve this? The good news is that blockout Curtains, Roller Blinds and lined Roman Blinds have excellent insulating benefit.  They are great at deflecting heat in summer & also at trapping in the warmth during winter. Whether you have air conditioning or not, the blockout will make an impact on the feeling of any room you have them in. This is especially true for rooms that receives a high level of direct sunlight. You may even be surprised to have a smaller energy bill!

This doesn’t mean that you need to keep your windows fully closed up all year round. Layering the blockout with a sheer allows you to decide how much light and heat you want to let in, while also keeping things private. Depending on the aesthetic needs or requests of individual clients, we recommend a combination of a soft sheer and a blockout so that they can compliment each other & your room.
